The Santa Cruz Film Festival brings you the best of independent, local, national and international cinema.  Our 2010 lineup is the best ever with original, cutting-edge work in the following sections.

Our biggest and most celebrated screenings.  Join us for Opening Night, Closing Night and for our Centerpiece screening.

Feature films from all over the world. From Tibet to the UK, Spain and Mexico, the stories told in the narrative features explore universal themes and offer a glimpse into the lives and cultures of others.  All the while, we are reminded that, in the end, we are not that much different from each other.

23 films that will educate, enlighten, entertain, shock and, hopefully, open your mind.  From the 4 corners of the world, SCFF's documentaries explore a range of topics including global democracy, women's health, the Pakistani film industry, HIV/AIDS, Proposition 8,  spiritual enlightenment, Barack Obama, the phenomenon of latter day hula hooping and more.

The work of passionate individuals who have documented crucial environmental problems and challenges, and the attempts of many to solve them. These films instill concern for the issues they raise, and they seed enthusiasm for change in the audience.

Furthering our mission to support the work of our local community of artists, these films feature the best and most creative moving image artists in the Greater Monterey Bay.

See the next great filmmakers in these collections of short films.
