Bush spawned Governor, its Girls Gone Wild and its hanging chads would be a leader in new, green urban planning?  Shades of Green: Sustainable Initiatives looks at what is happening in the Sunshine State as it takes needed steps towards creating a sustainable future.

From the work of key organizations to statewide policy, relationships between land-use and transit are examined to show how wise planning and other initiatives play integral roles in energy conservation and efficiency.  The continuum of Smart Growth, New Urbanism, and Green Building demonstrate the importance of re-thinking how cities can become greener while curbing urban sprawl.
