A young man’s obsession with cinema blurs the line between reality and a life onscreen.
Bobtailing with Luu
Calvin Luu attempts to document a day in the life of his father who works as a San Francisco Bay Area Vietnamese trucker. In attempts to complete the documentary on national Veterans Day, Calvin learns that his father doesn't actually have that much work to do. While Calvin has a set agenda by attempting to take an "objective" approach of documentary filmmaking, his father has other plans. His father "finds work" to do in hopes of providing Calvin with enough footage and direction to complete his documentary, which essentially becomes more than just a documentary about trucking and the effects of the changing regulations in the trucking industry.
The MENstration
A comedy about how a woman's emotions are especially heightened during a certain time of the month making her feel very vulnerable her own thoughts and society's "disappointments".
Chroma
Overcome by feelings of disapproval and inadequacy, David Lanes seeks to reconcile his perception of himself with his family's. As we explore his involvement in martial arts, his misconceptions and insecurities are revealed and David comes to understand that he is not who he thought he was.

I met Don Lorenzo in front of Pro Build on River Street. We started talking about our home countries and the good things that were waiting for us overseas. In this piece I try to illustrate the connection we had as two nostalgic immigrants remembering an idyllic past as wintertime came along in Santa Cruz.

An exploration of artificial and dysfunctional courtships.

An autobiographical piece about a mother in battle with breast cancer and her daughter who is the filmmaker producing a video diary about their relationship within this turmoil, documenting their experiences with love, pain, laughter, and fear.
Invasion USA
This futuristic "mockumentary" on immigrant hysteria creates an uproarious setting the stage for an invasion of the US by the "other," by using numerous film clips from TV news, and Hollywood film stereotypes represented as menaces to US National Security.

Student Filmmaker, Enzo Spinotti sets out to create a surreal and deeply personal piece of cinema for his senior thesis. Somewhere along the way, his inability to locate and convey the essence of his life leads to deeper discoveries about life and the nature of truth in art.
