Calvin Luu attempts to document a day in the life of his father who works as a San Francisco Bay Area Vietnamese trucker. In attempts to complete the documentary on national Veterans Day, Calvin learns that his father doesn't actually have that much work to do. While Calvin has a set agenda by attempting to take an "objective" approach of documentary filmmaking, his father has other plans. His father "finds work" to do in hopes of providing Calvin with enough footage and direction to complete his documentary, which essentially becomes more than just a documentary about trucking and the effects of the changing regulations in the trucking industry.
