Most people take weeks and even years to build their art cars. David Best with a team of people can take three days to build his cars. Art Cars the Focus of Film Fest's Closing Days

Blank's latest film, Automorphosis, plays at the Santa Cruz Film Festival on Friday, as part of the festival's celebration of the art car on its closing days. Today, for instance, sculptor David Best, best known for his work at Burning Man, and a team of designers will create an art car from a Mazda Miata in front of an audience at the Tannery Arts Center.
